Guidelines on Managing and Monitoring Classroom Facilities

  1. Furniture, Fixture & Equipment

    (Armchair, Teacher's Table & Chair, Cabinet, Electric Fan)

    Every classroom should only have:

    • Maximum of 48 functional armchairs (for academic classroom)
    • One (1) teacher's table and chair
    • Maximum of two (2) cabinets (not more than 5 ft. in width)
    • Maximum of five (5) electric fans
    • Plain yellow curtain (should classrooms opt to have curtains)

    Excess furniture, fixture & unserviceable items must be properly coordinated with the Supply Office.

     

  1. Repair & Maintenance

    The Supply Office (Mam Geny Lugue) should be duly informed in case of any repair or rehabilitation in the classroom including but not limited to the following:

    • Painting/Repainting
    • Windows
    • Door
    • Electrical (socket, electric fan , lights & smart TV )
    • Roofing
    • Ceiling
    • Blackboard / Whiteboard
  1. Trash bins should be placed inside the classroom. Ensure proper segregation of waste. Utility workers shall collect segregated waste inside the classroom.

 

  1. Cleaning materials should be properly kept. Old doormat, rags and cleaning materials should be disposed. Cleanliness of classrooms must be maintained at all times.

 

  1. Turn off lights and unplug electric fans, TV, and other electrical devices when not in use.

 

  1. For austerity purposes, students are prohibited from charging their gadget/s (cellphones, tablets, power bank, and any related items) inside the classroom.

 

  1. No shoes must be left outside the classrooms.

 

  1. Optimize classroom space. Use of lockers is highly discouraged. Books/Reference materials and students’ personal belongings must not be left in the classroom. Student output and products must be returned to them after the same were checked / graded. 

 

  1. Posting inside/outside the classroom must be done in the bulletin board. Ensure that any posting on bulletin boards is constantly updated. Use of adhesive tapes in posting especially on walls is prohibited.

 

  1. The Office of the Principal must be provided with duplicate key of classrooms, the same applies in cases when keys are changed.
